Soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down a Russian Ka-52 Alligator helicopter worth approximately $16 million, the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade reported on Telegram on May 13.

"We thank the fighters of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division for their work," the brigade commented.

The military probably destroyed a Russian helicopter in the east of Ukraine, because the brigade is fighting in the Pokrovsk sector.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia has already lost 325 helicopters since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine as of May 13.

The Defense Forces shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter, better known as the Alligator, using a Javelin on March 27. Ukrainian military had destroyed a Ka-52 in the Tavria sector in February.
