Ukrainian Air Force destroy 17 of 20 Russian drones overnight
The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 17 of 20 Russian kamikaze drones amidst another Russian attack overnight on May 9, Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, reported.
The Russians used 20 Shahed drones to attack Ukraine from Cape Chauda, Crimea.

The Air Force's anti-aircraft missile units and Ukrainian Defense Forces mobile fire groups destroyed 17 UAVs over Odesa Oblast, Oleshchuk said.
Drones were spotted moving towards Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, causing the Air Force to warn of a drone threat at 12:21 a.m., saying that Odesa and the Black Sea coast were threatened.

Information about a group of UAVs heading through Kherson towards Mykolaiv Oblast emerged at 2:11 a.m., with the air alert lasting until 2:52.
