The commander of Ukraine's First Separate Tank Siversk Brigade's air defense unit, known by the call sign Nemo, detailed the successful downing of a Russian Su-34 fighter jet near Chernihiv in a recent Facebook video post by the brigade’s press center.

"We saw the enemy pilot turn his head. Then we realized they were more afraid of us than we were of them," Nemo described. "When he saw us, he immediately started to maneuver but was hit by two missiles."

The fate of the Russian pilot remains uncertain, though Nemo speculated that it is unlikely he survived.
