Ukrainian air defenses in Mykolaiv Oblast intercepted a Russian X-59 cruise missile on May 1, Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration head Vitaliy Kim reported on May 2.

The village of Ochakiv also came under artillery shelling the day before. There were no casualties reported in the oblast.

Russia attacked Mykolaiv Oblast with Shahed 131/136 combat drones on April 23. Infrastructure was damaged due to debris from the downed UAV.
