Ukraine's Foreign Minister discusses Peace Formula implementation with Portuguese counterpart

Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke via phone with his newly appointed Portuguese counterpart, Paulo Rangel.

Details: Ukraine's Foreign Minister congratulated his colleague on his new appointment and discussed with him bilateral issues as well as the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Quote: "I appreciate Minister Rangel’s willingness to resolutely support Ukraine on its way to EU membership," Kuleba added.

Ukraine recently held another round of negotiations with Portugal to conclude a bilateral security agreement in accordance with the G7 joint declaration.

On 24 April, Ukraine and Portugal's representatives began working on a draft bilateral security agreement and agreed on a schedule for further negotiations.

Earlier, Rangel stated that the current Portuguese administration, led by Prime Minister Luis Montenegro, supports Ukraine's accession to the EU.

The new minority government in Portugal, led by Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, took the oath of office on 2 April.
