Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers establishes US$1,794 payment for soldiers per every 30 days in combat zone

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution authorising the payment of a one-time remuneration of UAH 70,000 (US$1,794) to the personnel performing military operations on the front lines, enemy territory, and temporarily occupied territory for a total of 30 days.

Details: The Cabinet of Ministers amended the resolution titled The issue of certain payments to military personnel, privates and commanders, police officers, and their families during martial law.

Background:

  • The Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian Parliament)voted for a resolution obliging the government to develop a mechanism for an additional one-time payment of UAH 70,000 (US$1,794) to soldiers performing combat tasks at the forefront, for every 30 days at the line of contact, Russian territory, and temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
