Ukraine taking steps to isolate occupied Crimea, Estonian intelligence assesses

The Ukrainian military is gradually creating conditions to effectively isolate occupied Crimea, the commander of the Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center, Col. Ants Kiviselg, said on April 5.

Kiviselg pointed out Ukraine's ongoing deep strikes against Russian oil refineries and military-industrial infrastructure, which demonstrate an ability to hit targets deep within Russian territory.

“Ukraine's operations are systematic and are gradually creating conditions for the isolation of Crimea,” Estonian public broadcaster ERR quotes Kiviselg.

In his assessment, Belarus remains unlikely to enter the war, while Russian forces have failed to make significant gains on the battlefield in recent weeks.
