Ukraine is redeploying some of its units to Kharkiv Oblast to counter the Russian cross-border incursion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his May 10 evening address.

“The main focus is now on Kharkiv,” said Zelenskyy.

“Russian troops tried to expand their operations against Ukraine today. We understand the scale of the occupant's forces; we see their intent.”

The president added that Ukrainian troops, artillery, and drones are effectively responding to the occupiers. He thanked Ukrainian soldiers for defending their positions.

“We are bolstering our forces in Kharkiv Oblast,” Zelenskyy said.

“Along our state border and the entire front line, we will consistently destroy the occupants in such a way as to thwart any Russian offensive plans," he added.
