Ukraine and NATO ‘closer than ever,’ says NATO's Military Committee Chairman at Kyiv Security Forum

Ukraine and NATO are "closer than ever," NATO's Military Committee Chairman Admiral Rob Bauer said on March 21 at the 16th annual Kyiv Security Forum (KSF), founded by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to visit Ukraine in person and to meet with your political and military leadership,” he said.
“It gives me the opportunity to express my deep respect for the courage and strength you demonstrate both on and off the battlefield. My visit - the first NATO military delegation to visit Ukraine since the full-scale [Russian] invasion - shows that NATO and Ukraine are closer than ever."

Ukraine and NATO are becoming "closer, more compatible, and more intertwined" every day.
The 16th annual Kyiv Security Forum is being held March 21-22, 2024, to gather transatlantic support for Ukraine. The theme of this year's forum is "Ukraine's Call to the World: Together we prevail!"
The main topics of the two-day forum include the situation on the frontline, urgent military assistance to Ukraine, Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO, preparations for the European Parliament elections, the NATO summit in Washington, D.C., the U.S. presidential election, and the vision of the West's strategy for Ukraine.
The forum is attended by high-ranking representatives of NATO and the European Union, defense ministers of partner countries, European and American politicians and experts, international figures, world experts on international relations and security issues, diplomats, journalists and civil society activists.
At the invitation of the Chair of the KSF, former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and his team, more than eighty foreign and Ukrainian speakers take part in the Forum's discussions - online and in person.
Among them are prominent international figures, including former President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, 2004-14 President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, 2010-14 First Vice-President of the European Commission Baroness Catherine Ashton, former Prime Ministers of Estonia and Lithuania, 2014-17 Commander of U.S. Forces in Europe Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, U.S. General Gordon B. "Skip" Davis Jr, Commander of the U.S. Central Command in 2008-10 and Director of the CIA in 2011-12 General David Petraeus.

The Kyiv Security Forum, founded by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, is the country's main platform for discussing issues of war and peace, national and global security.
