Ukraine destroys Russian Mi-8 on Russian airfield - HUR

A Mi-8 transport helicopter was destroyed at the Kryazh airfield in Samara, Ukrainian military’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) reported on Telegram on April 17.

Russia used this helicopter in war against Ukraine to transport weapons and personnel.

According to intelligence reports, cost of this type of helicopter could be between $10 and $15 million.

According to the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of April 17,  Armed Forces destroyed 325 Russian helicopters since beginning of Russian invasion.
