Kyiv “strongly condemns the massive Iranian attacks against the State of Israel,” Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said on April 14.

“Such actions are completely unacceptable, irresponsible and carry the risk of unprecedented further escalation of the situation in the Middle East,” the statement said.

“It is extremely important to make every effort to prevent the confrontation from escalating into a large-scale regional conflict. This attack once again demonstrates the importance of mobilizing all the power of the free world to defend the global boundaries of democracy.”

On the night of April 13, Iran launched a significant offensive against Israel, deploying approximately 170 drones and over 150 cruise and ballistic missiles in an attack that lasted five hours.

The Israeli Air Force and its “partners” intercepted 99% of the Iranian weapons, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Two U.S. officials familiar with the situation told CNN that U.S. forces were also involved in repelling the attack, intercepting “more than 70 one-way attack drones and at least three ballistic missiles.”

The United Kingdom and France also assisted Tel Aviv in countering the unprecedented attack.
