Fans across the pond were livid after hitting a major snag trying to get tickets to see the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Oct. 9.

As reported by The Scotsman, Ticketmaster explicitly instructed fans via email not to enter the online queue until 9:30 a.m. (3:30 a.m. CT) when tickets went on sale Tuesday, but those who followed that edict faced a queue of more than 100,000 people once they got there. And by 10 a.m., tickets for the quickly sold-out event were showing up on secondary sites.

London will host three NFL games this year (two at Tottenham, one at Wembley Stadium), but it's the first time the Packers have played a regular-season game outside the country — making them the final NFL team to do so. The Week 5 game will air at 8:30 a.m. locally.

According to the Daily Star, hospitality and corporate areas of the stadium were already spoken for, and only 50,000 tickets were expected to be on sale for each game at the stadium. The Vikings-Saints game to be played a week before the Packers game also sold out, though not as quickly as the Packers-Giants tilt.
