Uber driver takes teen with gun straight to Euclid police: I-Team
EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) – An Uber driver helped police get a teen with a loaded gun off the street by driving him straight to the police department.
According to police, on Thursday an Uber driver pulled into the Euclid Police Department around 7:45 p.m., blasting his horn.
The driver told officers he had picked up two teenage passengers in Cleveland that wanted a ride to Euclid.

A few minutes after the passengers got in the car, another vehicle bumped his car. He said the one teen passenger told him to stop or the people in the other car would shoot him.
“The driver made a very smart decision and drove right to our police station,” said Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer. “When officers heard the horn honking, they ran right out.”
The chief said the suspect vehicle that allegedly struck the Uber driver’s car twice was reported stolen out of Parma.
“Those suspects followed the Uber driver into the police station parking lot, but when they saw the officers run out of the building, they took off,” the chief said.
Local deputy praised for saving stabbing victim
Officers then found that one of the teen passengers had a loaded weapon tucked inside his pants.
“He is facing a charge and we found he is already on juvenile probation, but he will be facing new charges related to the weapon,” the chief said.
He added that detectives are continuing to investigate and additional charges could be filed soon.
