Dreena Burton has been vegan for almost 20 years, and during that time she's written four best-selling cookbooks charting her journey as a plant-powered cook and at-home mother of three. Always passionate about creating nutritious recipes, she is an advocate of using "vegan basics" to create healthy, delicious food for the whole family. Her first project was "The Everyday Vegan," inspired by the experience of her father-in-law, who suffered a heart attack. When his cardiologist strongly recommended he follow a low-fat, plant-based diet to reverse heart disease, Burton knew this information needed to be shared - most importantly, how and what to eat as a vegan. She followed up with "Vive le Vegan!, Eat, Drink, & Be Vegan," and her latest, "Let Them Eat Vegan" - a whole-foods vegan cookbook that's entirely wheat- and gluten-free and doesn't rely on vegan "subs." Burton is a recipe contributor for popular books and diets, including The Engine 2 Diet. For more, visit plantpoweredkitchen.com.
