U.N. Security Council passes resolution calling for Gaza ceasefire; U.S. abstains

The United Nations Security Council passed a resolution that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages that were taken by Hamas in their Oct. 7 attack in Israel. The vote was 14-0, with only the United States abstaining.
