U.S. to honor Japan defense pact 'without reservation': Tillerson

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Thursday said the United States would honor its defense treaty agreements with Japan "without reservation" after talks in Washington with Japan's foreign and defense ministers focused on North Korea's nuclear and missile threats. Tillerson also reaffirmed at a joint news conference that the U.S. Article Five commitment to defend Japan covered the Senkaku Islands Japan contests with China.
