U.S. evacuates Beirut embassy over security concerns

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. officials ordered non-emergency personnel and their family members out of Lebanon on Friday "due to threats," the U.S. Embassy in Beirut said in statement. The U.S. State Department urges "U.S. citizens to avoid all travel to Lebanon because of current safety and security concerns," the statement also said.
