Tyrod Taylor will start at quarterback for the Bills versus Chiefs

Head coach Sean McDermott and the Buffalo Bills have decided to put Tyrod Taylor back as their starting quarterback after being benched last week to rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman. The decision was made during a press conference on Tuesday.

After the Taylor’s performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10, where he only threw for 56 yards and one interception, it was understandable at the time on why Peterman was named as the starter for their game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

That decision would end up back firing on the Bills as Peterman threw for 66 yards and five interceptions in the first half. Peterman was then replaced by Taylor who threw for 158 yards and a touchdown. The Bills ended up losing against the Chargers 54-24.

The Bills now sit at 5-5 and are in the hunt for a playoff spot and will now face their toughest portion of the schedule as they will face the Kansas City Chiefs this week and will end up playing against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots twice in the next coming weeks.

While they are facing quarterback troubles, the defense has given up 101 points the last two weeks. They can’t stop the run which is hurting them majorly and this causes extra pressure on the offense to put points on the board. The chances of Buffalo making the playoffs are still alive, but with who they are facing and the way they have been playing puts them in a tough spot.

McDermott and his staff need to try anything at this point if he wants the Bills to end their playoff drought. Right now, it’s not looking so hot for the Bills. In order to win a majority of their next couple of games, they need to get back to the Bills football that we saw in the beginning of the season. The team that dominated on the defensive side which allowed the offense to capitalize.
