Tyler ISD celebrates Teachers of the Year
UPDATE: Tyler ISD announced the District’s Rookie of the Year as Tiffany Simmons from DAEP and Principal of the Year as Rachel Sherman from Three Lakes Middle School.
TYLER, Texas (KETK) – Tyler ISD is hosting their Educator of the Year Banquet on Thursday where they will recognize exceptional teachers.
Gladewater ISD holds town hall to consider four-day school week
According to a release, the banquet will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and will recognize teachers who were elected by their respective campuses, as well as a rookie of the year and principal of the year.
“We are thrilled to honor these exceptional educators who have made a profound impact on the lives of their students,” Jennifer Hines, chief communication officer said. “Their unwavering dedication and passion for teaching have been instrumental in fostering successful student outcomes, and we applaud their remarkable achievements.”

According to the statement, winners of campus teacher of the year are now eligible to be nominated as district elementary teacher of the year or district secondary teacher of the year, they will be selected by a committee based on written portfolios and interviews.
