Tyler Boebert appears in court

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KREX) — Tyler Boebert, son of Rep. Lauren Boebert appeared in court at the Garfield County Courthouse on Thursday. Boebert faces fourteen charges ranging from identification theft to petty offenses.

Counts one, two and three against Boebert are for criminal possession of identity documents, which is a class four felony that could bring two to six years in the Department of Corrections.

Counts four, five, six and seven involve first-degree criminal trespass, which is a class one misdemeanor. Tyler Boebert could face three hundred sixty-four days in jail and fines up to $1,000.

Count eight is for criminal possession of identity documents, a class two misdemeanor, while counts nine, ten and eleven are for theft and could result in up to 120 days in jail.

Count twelve is for criminal possession of a financial device. If convicted, it could also mean up to 120 days in jail.

Counts thirteen and fourteen are for unauthorized use of a financial device.

Boebert’s next court appearance will be in early May.
