Two women found dead with gunshot wounds in San Lorenzo home

(KRON) — Two women were found dead in a San Lorenzo home in what the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is investigating as a double homicide. ACSO said Friday that a person of interest has been arrested.

Neither woman had responded to calls or texts since April 30, and police believe the killings happened “on or around May 1.” Deputies found both women dead in the home they lived in on the 15000 block of Dermody Avenue on May 4.

Both victims are women in their 30s. Family members went to ACSO’s Eden Township Substation to file missing persons reports, prompting a welfare check at the home.

Police did not release any information about the person of interest who was taken into custody in connection with these killings.

“Our investigators are actively and diligently working in close collaboration with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office to bring justice in this egregious case,” ACSO said.

The home where the killings happened is near the Bay Fair BART station and Bayfair shopping center.

ACSO’s investigation into the case is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call (510) 926-2386 or (510) 725-2976 to reach detectives.
