Two taken to the hospital after truck crashes into home east of Longmont

May 1—Two people were transported to the hospital Wednesday morning after a pick-up truck crashed into a home on the 6500 block of Weld County Road 34.

According to a Mountain View Fire Rescue post on X, just before 7;30 a.m. Wednesday responders were called to the scene where they found the driver of the pick-up and two residents of the home outside and a red pick-up crashed into the west side of the home.

The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and one resident, who was inside the home at the time of the incident, was transported with very minor injuries.

The other resident declined transportation, according to the post.

Crews were able to stabilize the structure and began clearing debris so the truck could be pulled from the home.
