Two suspects try to rob armored truck driver in store
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men tried to rob an armored truck driver making a cash drop at an ATM, shooting the driver in the arm, police said.
The driver was crouched on the ground, loading an ATM inside a Circle K store at 2678 Getwell Road on Thursday afternoon when two men entered the business, Memphis Police said.
The first suspect acted as a lookout at the door while the second approached the driver with a handun and attempted to grab the money bag he was holding.
The bag ripped open and police say the suspect fired a shot at the driver during the struggle, hitting him in the arm.
The two men ran out of the store and got away empty-handed.
