Two suspects in connection with Oak Trail robbery arrested

COURTLAND, Va. (WAVY) – Two suspects in connection with an April 4 robbery have been arrested, according to police.

Officials said the robbery occurred in the 25000 block of Oak Trail, near the Stevens Woods apartments.

Police said three individuals approached a woman in a parking lot, stealing her purse, credit cards and cash. The victim also stated she received minor injuries as a result of the crime.

On April 26, police served a warrant on 24-year-old Jayqwon Douglas in connection with the robbery. He is currently being held at the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office jail with no bond. The following day, 22-year-old Tyvon Goodrich was arrested in connection with the crime. He is being held without bond at Meherrin River Regional Jail.

Douglas and Goodrich were both charged with grand larceny, credit card theft, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, abduction and conspiracy to commit abduction.

The third suspect, 24-year-old Dalveon Ricks, was identified earlier. Arrest warrants were obtained for violation of abduction, two counts use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask in a public pace with intent to conceal identity, robbery, assault and battery, credit card theft and grand larceny.

According to officials, Ricks is still wanted.
