Two people were arrested Monday in Montgomery after separate police chases involving stolen vehicles.

Officers tried to pull over a stolen vehicle at Plum and Ryan streets at 10:15 a.m., but MPD Cpl. Tina McGriff said the driver refused to stop and a chase ensued. That chase ended with a suspect being arrested after what McGriff described as a minor collision with an unoccupied vehicle in the 1900 block of Pinecrest Drive. She said there were no injuries.

The second chase at 1:15 p.m. started when police tried to stop a stolen vehicle at the corner of Zelda and Vaughn roads. This time the chase ended with a single-vehicle wreck in the 3800 block of East Boulevard. McGriff said there were no injuries in the crash and a suspect was arrested after "a brief foot pursuit."

McGriff said charges are pending in both cases. No further information was immediately released by police.
