Two people killed in Suffolk vehicle crash

Two people were killed in a vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Suffolk.

A driver and a passenger were killed; no one else was in the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Suffolk police were on the scene about 4 a.m. at the 7100 block of South Quay Road, according to a news release sent at the time.

Police identified the driver as Montrell Anthony Bailey, 22, but did not release information about the passenger.

South Quay Road was partially closed for the investigation near the intersection with O’Kelly Drive. The road was re-opened by 9:45 a.m.
