Two people arrested on child cruelty charges after infant twins sustain multiple injuries
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department said two people were arrested on March 7 after infant twins suffered multiple injuries.
According to CPD, investigators determined that one of the twins, an infant boy was taken to Martin Army Community Hospital after he became unresponsive.
CPD says two additional children, an infant girl, and a male toddler, were also checked by EMS and transported to Piedmont Medical Center. The toddler was discharged, but both twins were later admitted to the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta.
Both 26-year-old Scott Sartin and 24-year-old Jada Sartin were arrested on the following warrants:
Two counts of aggravated battery
Two counts of first-degree cruelty to children
Two counts of second-degree cruelty to children
