AUGUSTA (WJBF) – Two men have been found guilty in an Augusta double homicide

27-year-old Cortez Berry and 21-year-old Kazarie Middleton have been found guilty on all counts, including Malice and Felony Murder.

The third co-defendant, Marquise Harris, is set to plead guilty.

In November of 2020, the three men shot and killed 48-year-old Mequel Freeman and 34-year-old Wyman Scott at Johnson Beauty and Barber Salon on Eve Street in the Harrisburg Community.
