Two of London's biggest museums engage in Twitter war
They might be next-door neighbours and both as awesome as each other, but the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum have engaged in an epic (and absolutely hilarious) Twitter war.
The fun online scuffle all kicked off when a Twitter user posed a question about which museum's staff would win in a battle and they both fought their respective corners valiantly.
"Who would win in a staff battle between @sciencemuseum and @NHM_London, what exhibits/items would help you be victorious? #askacurator."
We have dinosaurs. No contest.

The Natural History Museum replied with what we thought would easily be the winning answer: "We have dinosaurs. No contest."
However, the Science Museum had an equally epic reply: "@NHM_London is full of old fossils, but we have robots, a Spitfire and ancient poisons. Boom!"

But the war didn't end there. Check out some of the ensuing tweets below:

Then, the chap who started the whole thing declared them both awesome and kindly asked them to pack it in.
"Shall we call #museumwars a draw then? Shake hands, go home and have a nice cuppa tea."
However, several tweets later, both museums finally declared the battle of wits a draw.
The Natural History Museum wrote: "We've enjoyed our dance with our lovely neighbours next door," while the Science Museum added: "Us too. Thanks for starting this whole thing. It's been fun but we're glad we're friends again with @NHM_London."
