Two inmates suspected of killing another at Kern Valley State Prison

Two inmates are suspected of attacking and killing another inmate Monday at Kern Valley State Prison, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

According to CDCR, Andrew L. Espinoza and Frank Vasquez allegedly attacked Raul E. Mendoza, who suffered multiple puncture wounds. It said two inmate-manufactured weapons were later found. Mendoza died Thursday around 1 p.m.
