Two hurt in Horry County wreck along U.S. Highway 501

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two people were hurt following a Saturday afternoon wreck near Highways 31 and 501, authorities said.

It happened just before 1 p.m. in the area of International Drive, Horry County Fire Rescue said on its Facebook page.

Northbound lanes of traffic are currently blocked due to the two-vehicle wreck. One of them was suspended on median guide wires.

The state Department of Public Safety is investigating, and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
