Upon arrival, firefighters began cutting into the roof of the home to ventilate the fire when two firefighters fell through.

“While we were in the process of ventilating the fire, we had two firefighters on the roof that fell through the roof and they called for a mayday,” said Shift Commander Jim Williams with OKCFD. “In this case, they fell through the roof through the garage, but they were able to get themselves out.”

Both firefighters were checked out at the scene for minor injuries. No one was transported to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
