UPDATE: Two children alive after near drownings in Edmond

Officials say the children are alive, although their current condition is unknown.

According to Edmond Police, the incident appears to be an accident.

According to the Edmond Police Department, two sisters — ages 4 and 6, have been transported to OU Children’s Hospital after possible drownings in a local neighborhood.

Police say the children were in the water for an undetermined amount of time.

The incident is still under investigation.

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — Edmond emergency crews are responded to reports of a possible drowning in a neighborhood near N Kelley Avenue and W Waterloo Road on Friday evening.

Police say two people have been taken to the hospital.
