Two charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile in Calcasieu Parish
CALCASIEU PARISH, La. (KLFY)– Two people were arrested after authorities learned a 3-month-old child was being treated for multiple broken bones and malnourishment, as a result of alleged child abuse.
On April 10, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a local hospital in reference to the child who was possibly abused. The investigation revealed Haiden K. Wilson, 19, of Westlake, and Isabella L. Fox, 20, of Lake Charles were the primary caretakers for the child.
On May 3, Fox and Wilson turned themselves in and were charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile. Their bonds are set at $100,000, according to CPSO.
On May 8, Wilson was released on bond, but Fox is still being held at the Calcasieu Correctional Center. The child is currently in custody of a family member by the Department of Children & Family Services.
