Two cats killed in house fire on Ronnies Lane in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Two cats were killed after a fire ignited at a home in Franklin County on April 16.

The Department of Public Safety says crews were called to Ronnies Lane around 11 a.m., for a house fire.

When firefighters arrived at the home, they found flames coming from a one-story house.

The department says firefighters entered the house and confirmed no one was home. However, they found two dead cats.

The cause remains under investigation by the Franklin County Fire Marshals Office.
