Two arrested, others hurt after police chase, rollover crash: Semmes PD

SEMMES, Ala. (WKRG) — Semmes Police are investigating after an early morning police chase ends in a rollover crash. Police say it started on Moffett Road before dawn Saturday morning when police attempted to pull a vehicle over. The driver then led police on a high-speed chase that ended when the vehicle flipped in a ditch near the Mississippi state line on Alabama Highway 158 and Grant Road.

Police say the driver, 23-year-old Ian Angles, was arrested and charged with assault, reckless endangerment, marijuana possession and attempting to elude. Police say he also had a stolen rifle that was taken from his grandfather in Mississippi. Police arrested one passenger, 21-year-old Jacen Carter, and charged him for outstanding warrants. One passenger was taken to medical care and is in stable condition. A third passenger was flown by helicopter to University Medical Center for treatment, a 20-year-old woman. Her condition is not known this morning.
