(KRON) — Two people were arrested on Monday in connection to a theft of more than $6,300 worth of merchandise from Ulta Beauty in Brentwood, the Brentwood Police Department said. The suspects were identified as Andrea Glaser, 19, of Oakland and Tyerra Townsend, 21, of Pittsburg.

BPD officers were dispatched to the store at 2465 Sand Creek Road just after 1:30 p.m. Monday for the reported theft. Ulta Beauty is located in the Streets of Brentwood plaza.

Security officers gave police the license plate of the suspect car, which BPD confirmed to be a rental car. Hercules police spotted the car at about 5 p.m. Monday, and Glaser and Townsend were detained.

The suspects admitted to stealing from Ulta and selling the goods in Oakland and San Francisco. Police did not recover any stolen goods but did find about $1,000 in cash on the suspects.

Both suspects were arrested. Glaser had open warrants, and Townsend was on felony probation in Contra Costa County, BPD said.

A similar theft was reported at the same Ulta Beauty in January. In that case, two women allegedly stole about $7,600 worth of merchandise.
