A two-alarm fire that started in the garage area of a home on Ramsey Park in Rochester left a couple seeking shelter until the home can be repaired.

The fire, that started around 3 p.m. on Monday, quickly spread to the two-story wood frame house. It was brought under control in about 25 minutes, said Rochester Fire Chief Stefano Napolitano.

He said the second-alarm was called so they could get additional equipment and manpower on scene to fight the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
