If Twitter GIFs get longer, know that Lin-Manuel Miranda is behind it
Lin-Manuel Miranda is a lot of things: Composer, actor, West Wing fan, almost-EGOT, and prolific Twitter user.
That fact made it all the more endearing when the Broadway star and his favourite website had a little chat Monday night, chewing the fat about GIFs after a particularly amazing one of Miranda doing his signature hand gesture popped up.

Miranda devotee Casey Maher posted a supercut GIF of the man himself throwing out sneaky hand bops at every opportunity.
The gesture is a reference to the comedic podcast My Brother, My Brother And Me according to Pajiba — a sly wink to his fans.
If @Lin_Manuel keeps this up, I won't be able to keep this gif within Twitter's size limit anymore. 👋👋🐍 *greatjob* pic.twitter.com/gSdfeEQmkl

Maher's tweet went viral, attracting the attention of both Miranda and eventually Twitter, with the social media site making the case that any changes to the site's GIF length policy could totally be credited to the Hamilton superstar.
@casedillaaa @Lin_Manuel If there’s ever an expansion in size limit you’ll know why. 😉

Safe to say, Miranda fans (and Miranda himself) were pumped.
