Twitter can't get enough of the 'Aladdin' remake actor dubbed 'Hot Jafar'

Twitter users have dubbed Marwan Kenzari the "Hot Jafar" in Disney's live-action "Aladdin" remake. And they are obsessed.

Disney's live-action remake of "Aladdin" went viral yesterday after fans on Twitter freaked out that the first-look photos of Genie (Will Smith) differed wildly from the way he looked in the original. (Don't worry, Smith promises he'll be CGI and blue for most of the movie.)

Now, Twitter users are taking a different angle with the film: they're obsessed with the villain, who has been dubbed "Hot Jafar."

The actor of interest is Marwan Kenzari, a Dutch actor with credits in "The Mummy," "Ben-Hur" and "The Promise." And people on social media think he's really, really attractive.

As one person put it: "Disney just cast this actor, Marwan Kenzari, as Jafar in the live-action Aladdin, which I...uh...that is...um...what was I saying?"

It also seems as though Kenzari helped win over a couple reluctant viewers.

"I wasn't planning on seeing the live-action Aladdin. Change of plans!" one person tweeted alongside a photo of Kenzari.

Maybe we unfairly wrote Jafar off as a villain?

"Honestly, Jafar looks like a super nice dude who would throw lavish parties with the dopest mixtapes," one Twitter user speculated.

Another proposed the new movie "should just be called Hot Jafar and should just be about Hot Jafar."

No hard feelings, Aladdin, but others noted that it might be tough to root against the bad guys in this version.

"I hope Jafar wins," one user tweeted.

"Hot Jafar is the best thing about the upcoming live-action Aladdin," another added.

"Remember that scene in Aladdin where Jasmine has to pretend to be into Jafar so he doesn't notice Aladdin?" another recalled. "I don't think she'll have to pretend."

Another echoed a similar sentiment: Jasmine should just pick Jafar this time around.

"So you mean to tell me that in this movie, Jasmine is supposed to want to WILLINGLY choose Aladdin, (a broke liar) over a rich Jafar lookin like THIS?!" another pointed out.

One potential issue: the animated version includes a scene where Jafar transforms into a pretty creepy-looking older man.

"How is Hot Jafar going to pull this off," wondered one Twitter user, alongside a gif of older Jafar baring a mouthful of jagged, yellowing teeth.

Still, some weren't entirely convinced that this live-action Jafar was all that different from his animated counterpart.

"Jafar was always hot," one user simply put.
