Antonio Brown apologizes to Steelers fans for 'all the noise'

It’s been an interesting 10 days or so around the Pittsburgh Steelers.

First there was the anthem mixup in Chicago and the surprising loss to the Bears as well as the reaction to the way the team handled the anthem, then there was last Sunday, when Antonio Brown threw a Gatorade cooler on the sideline in the first half, after Ben Roethlisberger didn’t see him running free on a third-down play.

Since then, Roethlisberger has been critical of Brown on the radio, and former teammate Ryan Clark was too.

Whether he heard the public criticism or has had behind-the-scenes discussions, Brown took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to post a brief message:

“Apologize for all the noise and the distractions Steeler nation let’s stay focus #Pushfor7,” he wrote.

Brown has been targeted 45 times through four games, second-most in the NFL (the Houston Texans‘ DeAndre Hopkins has 49 targets), with 30 catches for 388 yards and one touchdown.

Pittsburgh, which is 3-1 after beating rival Baltimore last Sunday, hosts Jacksonville this week.
