On tonight's episode of TakePart Live, we'll get the latest on Jimmy Kimmel's twerking fail video prank, the NYPD's use of sports for surveillance activities, and the ouster of a Business Insider CTO Pax Dickinson over his "Brogrammer" Twitter feed. Dickinson left his position at BI on Tuesday after months of racist and sexist tweets were discovered on his profile. Outrage ensued, and BI founder Henry Blodget soon released a statement saying an executive had been dismissed and that the website's crew is "composed of more than 100 talented men and women of many backgrounds, and we highly value this diversity."
But how could such blatant misogyny—among other fouls—go unnoticed for so long at such a widely read media outlet? Our TakePart Live panel will look into women's equality, women in technology, and misogyny in the news to find out just how far we've really come.
