TVLine Items: Rupert Grint Leads TV's Snatch, PLL Doc Returns and More

Crackle has snatched up Harry Potter‘s Rupert Grint.

The actor will headline and executive-produce Snatch, a 10-episode series for the streaming network based on the 2000 movie of the same name.

Grint will be joined by cast member Dougray Scott (Hemlock Grove) and recurring player Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl). The show, which will carry the spirit of the Brad Pitt-Jason Statham film while featuring new characters, revolves around a group of twenty-something hustlers who stumble upon a truckload of stolen gold bullion and are thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Grint previously made a foray into TV with CBS’ Super Clyde pilot in 2013.

* Julian Morris will reprise his role as Pretty Little Liars‘ Dr. Wren Kingston in Season 7B, per The Hollywood Reporter.

* Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas and actress Laura Marano (Austin & Ally) will serve as judges for the 2017 Miss America Competition, airing Sept. 11 on ABC.

* Showtime is developing a half-hour comedy based on Jami Attenberg’s book The Middlesteins, from executive producer/former CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler, Deadline reports. Liz Tigelaar (Casual) will showrun the potential series about a suburban couple whose marriage falls apart after 30 years because of the wife’s obsession with food.

* Disney Channel’s Descendants 2 has cast newcomer Thomas Doherty and Dylan Playfair (Some Assembly Required) as Harry and Gil, the sons of Captain Hook and Gaston, respectively.
