TV Ratings: Preseason Football Helps NBC Score Another Win

NBC’s preseason coverage of the NFL’s match-up between the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins helped the Peacock score another win on August 25, earning an average 1.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and and 5.7 million viewers for the night.

CBS and Fox also aired some local coverage of NFL games, so numbers for all three networks are subject to time-zone adjustments, but aside from CBS’ new episode of “Big Brother” at 9 (which notched a 1.9 rating and 6.1 million viewers), the two nets offered repeats.

CBS averaged a 1.4 rating and 5.7 million viewers for the night, while ABC earned a 0.8 score and 3.4 million viewers behind a new episode of “Battlebots” and repeats of “The $100,000 Pyramid” and “Match Game.” Fox also nabbed a 0.8 rating and 3.2 million viewers, while The CW posted a 0.2 rating and 0.8 million viewers with a repeat of “Legends of Tomorrow” and a new episode of “Beauty and the Beast.”
