TV News Roundup: Matt Passmore Visits ‘Roadies,’ ‘Harry Potter’ Star Tom Felton Joins ‘The Flash’
Showtime has cast Matt Passmore in a guest role on “Roadies;” Harry Potter alum Tom Felton joins Season 3 of “The Flash” as a series regular and more in today’s TV news roundup.
CASTING
Matt Passmore (“The Glades,” “Satisfaction”) will be joining the cast of “Roadies” as a guest-star later this season, Variety has learned exclusively. Passmore will be playing Sean, Taylor Swift’s tour manager and husband to Staton-House manager Shelli, played by Carla Gugino. Passmore will be joining “Roadies” for one episode. The Cameron Crowe drama airs Sundays at 10 p.m on Showtime.
The CW has added Harry Potter alum Tom Felton to Season 3 of “The Flash,” Variety has confirmed. Felton will be starring as Julian Dorn, a CSI at Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than his good-guy reputation. “The Flash” Season 3 will premiere October 4 at 8 p.m. on The CW. Felton is repped by Management 360, Gersh, Troika in the UK, and Lichter, Grossman, Nicholas, Adley, & Feldman.
Bravo and Universal Cable Productions have upped Retta to series regular status on “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” Season 3. Retta joined the series in Season 2 as Barbara. Season 3 of “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” will begin production later this summer in Vancouver.
NBC’s “Maya and Marty” has enlisted Will Forte, Amy Poehler and Jerry Seinfeld for the July 5 episode. Their previous episodes have featured celebrity guest-stars like Miley Cyrus, Larry David, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hanks, Kate McKinnon, Kevin Hart, Sean Hayes, Nick Jonas, Eva Longoria, Steve Martin and Cecily Strong.

OWN has announced the premiere date for its new one-hour drama “Queen Sugar.” From the minds of Ava DuVernay and Oprah Winfrey, the series chronicles the lives and loves of three estranged siblings. DuVernay directs the first two episodes. The rest of the 13-episode season is also helmed by female directors. “Queen Sugar” premieres on September 6 and 7 at 10 p.m. on OWN and subsequently airs on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m.
