Walker heads to the Eastern Cincinnati Conference after a successful five-year run as the head football coach at Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, Kentucky. Walker led the Eagles to a 37-20 overall record, four consecutive winning seasons and a trip to the KHSAA Class 1A Final Four in 2021.

Walker replaces Kent McCullough, who stepped down in January after six seasons with the Spartans and was recently named the defensive coordinator at Mason.

Turpin finished 1-9 last season.

Walker has had assistant coaching stops at Centre College, Wooster College and Indian Hill, where he was the team's offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator. He played at Centre College and graduated with single-game records for receiving yards (189) and touchdowns (3).

Walker is expected to be approved at Turpin's next board meeting on March 15 at Mercer Elementary School, the school confirmed to The Enquirer.
