Tupelo police to host Coffee with a Cop

Oct. 5—TUPELO — People will get a chance to speak with Tupelo police officers and ask them questions in an informal setting Wednesday morning.

The Tupelo Police Department and the South Gloster McDonald's will host Coffee with a Cop. The event will be held at 519 South Gloster Street Oct. 6 from 8 until 9:30 a.m.

Instead of meeting officers during a traffic stop or while filing a report after a house burglary, the gathering will put officers and citizens together in a non-threatening, non-stressful surrounding.

The restaurant will provide guests with a free cup of McCafe coffee.

The police department has hosted similar events in the past. The last was in September 2018.
