Four months after a kitchen fire, the Tune Inn Restaurant and Bar on Capitol Hill is scheduled to reopen Friday morning at 8 a.m., according to The Washington Post and Washington City Paper.

The fire caused extensive damage to the bar, a longtime haunt for Hill staff and residents. At a July fundraiser, supporters had raised about $40,000 to help the bar's employees while the restaurant was closed and undergoing repairs.

On Saturday morning, the owners of the bar will recognize the firefighters who helped put out the fire at the bar, which has the second oldest liquor license in Washington, D.C.
