CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – We’re looking at another quiet and pleasant day as highs aim for the mid-80s under sunny skies and light winds.

Temperatures are sitting in the mid to upper 50s and low 60s to start as patchy fog develops but nothing terribly too dense. Winds are light and will remain so throughout the day.

Highs will peak slightly above normal, hitting the mid-80s during the peak heating hours of the day. Mountain counties will host a bit more cloud cover with afternoon showers and isolated storms yet again.

Overnight lows will be mild, dipping into the low 60s ahead of a very warm and hot midweek. Wednesday and Thursday will peak in the upper 80s and near 90 degrees as we head into the second half of the work week.

An approaching cold front will spark showers and storms late Thursday and stall out over the Carolinas. This will kick off an active pattern that lingers through the weekend into Memorial Day on Monday.

Look to see mid to upper 80s with intermittent storms locked in until early next week.

Today: Mostly Sunny And Very Warm High: 85.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy & Mild. Low: 63.
