"the president donated $100,000 to the Department of Health and Human Services." And who exactly RUNS HHS? Alex Azar. Alex Azar's Wiki page reads: "Critics noted that Azar approved a tripling of the price of insulin while CEO of Eli Lilly." Also, "When asked about the cost of (COVID-19) vaccines, Azar responded that the price might be high, but that an important vaccine would be created even if many Americans could not afford it." So, how I read it can be summed up with one word. KA-CHING! PAYDAY!
Wait, you can donate to an executive branch agency? Who's next? Department of Justice?
WONDERFUL, for simply people.
Secret Service spends more on TRUMP properties each month (combine) than his yearly salary.
TRUMP tells the world he is donating $400,000 while his business is charging a $100,000 to rent golf carts at Mar-Lar-Go (FUNNY)
Now why is press secretary casually walking around with Trump’s check he made a donation with?
How do you make 'charitable' donations without involving actual charities?
He 'donates' his salary to underfunded government agencies whose budgets HE slashed in the first place and who are ultimately beholden to him anyway, so to whom is he really donating?
"Trump's press secretary may have flashed his personal banking information while displaying the check of his quarterly salary donation."
No, the name on the check was "Vladimir Putin."
"The Secret Service will spend $179,000 on golf cart rentals at one of Donald Trump's courses this summer, according to The Washington Post — a total that exceeds previous years despite coronavirus social distancing measures. On Friday, federal spending records posted online showed that the Secret Service had signed a $179,000 contract to rent "golf carts and other vehicles" in Bedminster, New Jersey. The president owns the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster... In past years, similar rentals have taken place ahead of one of Trump's visits to his club, according to The Post. Federal records showed that the Secret Service paid Associates Golf Car $95,000 for the service last year, and $118,000 the year before."

Yes, but how much is the Trump Organization profiting while Trump is in office? Let's take a look at exhibit A: How much tax dollars are paid to Trump when he visits Mar-A-Lago for security and rooms for the Secret Service? Also, how much will Trump's companies benefit when he is booted from office because of the PERMANENT tax cuts? His $400k annual donation is a drop in the bucket and token at best.
Trump has Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
Is there anything below that does not describe Trump?
• Whatever they crave or yearn for must be "the best".
• An insatiable appetite for the attention of others
• Extreme feelings of jealousy
• An expectation of special treatment
• Exaggerating achievements, talents, and importance
• Extreme sensitivity and a tendency to be easily hurt and to feel rejected with little provocation
• Difficulty maintaining healthful relationships
• Fantasizing about their own intelligence, success, power, and appearance
• An ability to take advantage of others to achieve a goal, without regret or conscience
• A lack empathy, or ability to understand and share the feelings of others, and a tendency to disregard others' feelings
• A belief that only certain people can understand their uniqueness
• A tendency to consider themselves as skilled in romance
• Responding to criticism with anger, humiliation, and shame
• Seeking out praise and positive reinforcement from others
• An expectation that others will agree with them and go along with what they want
In a potential eight year term, he’s giving up $3.2 M of salary. In the meantime, donors and supporters stay at his hotels, he charges the Secret Service for accommodations at Mar-a-Lago, and he already said he would take economic disaster relief from the quarantine for his properties. It’s a joke to say he’s not making any money from this office.
Where else could you donate $400k/year but make $40 million a year off taxpayers. Gotta love the short bus Americans that put this tool in office.
Trump golf trips alone cost over $118 million by the end of 2019. That equals 295 years of his Presidential salary of $400,000.
Trump has played golf for 22% of the time he's been President.
As of March 8, 2020, he had played golf 264 times since becoming President three years before. He averages 88 rounds per year.
